José María co-founded Kibo in 2012 being part of the Board of Director and Investment Committee since inception. He has been instrumental in the regulatory and operational set up as well as in fundraising activities.

Before he co-founded a Hedge Fund boutique Cygnus Asset Management in 2006, worked in UBS from 1992 to 2006 both in Invetsment Banking and Wealth Management Divisions. He initiated his professional career at Arthur Andersen Consulting División (today Accenture) and then in Advent España.

He holds a Law degree from UCM and an MBA from Esade. Has also received additional education from IEB, ISDI, IIA among others.
